Scope of Services for Postpartum Support Care
Contractor will perform postpartum doula care services to Company’s Clients. Contractor will use Company’s software application (to be installed on Contractor’ personal device) to schedule Contractor’s availability to perform such prenatal and postnatal appointments. Contractor shall create and update a quarterly schedule and communicate with six (6) weeks notice to Company, any changes to Contractor’s schedule of availability.
Contractor agrees to perform postpartum care services as determined by the client’s specific needs and desires. These services may include day and overnight postpartum care in the client’s home, with Contractor’s professional expertise of current evidence-based care being provided related to birthing person’s postpartum healing and care, family bonding and rest, newborn care (singletons, twins, and triplets as applicable with Contractor’s experience), baby soothing and sleeping, breastfeeding and bottle feeding support and education, spouse/partner support, sibling/pet adjustment, newborn equipment information and referrals. BHM Born doesn’t provide transportation of family members in Contractor or client’s personal vehicle, or heavy housework. If overnight postpartum doula care is provided, BHM Born postpartum care client will provide a clean guest room bed or full length sofa near baby for Contractor to comfortably rest and care for baby through the night. Contractor will provide “resting overnight visits,” which is defined as resting when the baby rests. BHM Born postpartum care does not include sleep training for newborns under 3 months of age. Contractor is not a licensed medical professional and does not provide medical services, advice or tasks (including dispensing medication).
Contractor is required to make client’s notes on the Company’s software within 24 hours after each visit or contact with client.
Contractor will continuously provide current infant CPR training certificates (it expires every two years).
